Pre Oiling per Metre

Timber Worktop Blanks require adequate surface treatment prior the installation. Our pre-oiling service is the initial treatment and most time consuming part of the process. 3 coats of quality Danish Oil are applied on all sides of the worktop. We lightly sand the worktops between each coat of oil using 180 grit sanding paper to re-smooth the surface. Usually we sand only the top and the edges of each worktop. The oils we use have generally been formulated to be food safe and will create a durable water-resistant barrier protecting the surface once applied. However, please note a final coat of oil will be required to be applied after installation. We strongly recommend that you order an extra tin of oil.
